I am a 31 year old Christian stay-at-home mom from Northeast Ohio. I have been married to my wonderful husband Steven since November 2006. After trying to concieve for a year after our wedding, we sought help from a Fertility Specialist. After a successful round of IVF, we had our son Carter in 2008. Our daughter Brooklyn was born in 2010. I am paralyzed from the mid-chest down from a car crash in 1999, which only makes this journey more interesting! God has blessed us more than words can express and we are certainly enjoying every moment of this crazy ride!
32 weeks, 5 days Gestation
Carter was due on December 19th, 2008, but was born 7 weeks and 2 days early on October 29, 2008. He weighed 3 pounds, 14 ounces and was 17 1/4 inches long. He is the happiest boy and such a joy to be with. He has been a miracle since he was conceived (through IVF) and he is definitely the strongest little boy in the world! We are so proud of him and are enjoying watching him learn and grow.
Brooklyn is our unexpected blessing from God. Born September 10, 2010. She weighed 5 pounds, 5 ounces and was 18 inches long. Although we previously had fertility issues, we were amazed to find out that we had become pregnant with her on our own. She is mommy's "mini-me", a little diva! We are so blessed to have such an amazing little addition to our family!

Refrigerate your needles ahead of time and ice the injection spot before you do the injection. My husband has diabetes and we keep all his needles in the fridge all the time. Definitely helps with the pain.
Also, inject slowly and kind of poke around with the needle first to find a spot that doesn't hurt as much. Matt says that there are definitely places that hurt less than others.

The money shot. I ~love~ the big med spread pictures. As I was downloading all of mine off of my camera, I noticed I took something like 20 pictures of it - in all different views. I'm such a dork.
As you know, I've only done the lupron so far and start the stims in 2 days. So far, so good. The belly shots are SO FREAKING EASY - don't let it intimidate you. Instead of doing all of the techniques with the first one, I just wanted to get it over with. Quick jab and done. Now I don't even bother with ice or anything.
As for that big ass needle (pun intended) for the trigger, it's not that bad. I have to do that as part of my stims - my menopur is injected the same way. It's amazing how much padding I have back there when I didn't think I had that much! :) You'll do fine. We'll all be together, rooting eachother on, right?!?!
