After browsing your blog I can honestly say I am blown away, not only by what I found here related to photography but also your own personal story of courage and determination. I am the "mom" of 4. My children are not biological but came to live with me when they were very young..their mother was a crack addict. My journey into photography began 5 yrs ago after the death of my 18 yr old. He went to school one morning sat down at a computer and had a massive heart attack. He wasn't sick a day in his life. A few months after his death I still wasn't functioning, unable to go out, get out of bed,,my grief was immense..Sam was an artist..an amazing artist and one day someone asked me for a piece of his art and I did not want to give up any so I picked up my little point and shoot camera and pointed at one of his art pieces..I swear I heard him whisper in my ear "There are still beautiful things in life to see, please go see them". So everyday I went out with my little camera and shot lifes beautiful things for Sam...I still shoot at least one image just for him daily. Since that time, I have purchased pro equipment, graduated for the NYIP course and managed to obtain an ACE in Photoshop. It would be an honor to be a member of this group and contribute what I have learned and also learn from others. Thanks for a chance at this opportunity!

I would like to learn how to take better photo's of people. I can do children but I have a difficult time with family shots. I love nature and that is where my focus is but I have many request's for family shoots and have a fear of them. Thank you for this opportunity.

I would love to learn how to take better photos of my kids. They totally melt me daily and I'm in awe that I get to be their Mommy - but they change so quickly!! I've literally looked at a photo of my son and asked who that was, because he had changed so much and I barely remember him looking like that!!
